Spring continues to be slow in coming, but coming it is. March 15, brought the first geese to Spiritwood Lake and St. Patrick brought the first robins, at least the first that I saw. We continue to have about a dozen pheasants feeding at the feeder.Hundreds of deer meander from one place to another around the lake. Some find good eating around the grain bins while others are starving. One little yearling, clearly starving, was on our deck eating hollyhock stalks.
